Should you Copy iPod to PC

Are you the proud owner of an iPod? If so, you probably have the remarkable little device chock-full of music, video, TV, and podcast files. You might even be using a handful of “apps” and regularly taking pictures with it too. Have you backed up the contents of the device to a secure location? If not, you are one of many, and most consumers don’t consider the consequences of damage or loss until it is too late. Fortunately, there are now well-written programs that copy iPod to PC in as little as four of five clicks of the mouse.
Do you REALLY need to make a backup copy of the contents of your iPod? Consider the following common situation – an iPod is damaged, and the owner has lost the entire contents on their device. They did not copy iPod to PC, and will now have to revisit all of the sites through which they acquired the files, reload them one by one, reorganize them, and will probably still be missing many videos, podcasts, or photo files.
With a good program to copy iPod to PC, the same person could have regularly made backup copies of their device contents to their computer. When the same loss of data occurred, they would have been able to simply connect the device to their PC, open the program, and then reload every single file in a matter of minutes.
Not only would such an option make it easy to retrieve data, but it would also streamline the entire process of acquiring a new iPod too. Rather than taking the time to download and organize all of the owner’s favorite videos and music files, the organized backup copy on the PC would allow the owner to quickly fill the new device with a few commands.
